You will be amazed by the lush greenery of pine forests covering the entire island at the very first sight. They are reminiscent of past times, in their branches they hide hollows, caves, field houses “Bunje“ and secret paths. In order to connect the natural and cultural heritage with a well-known Latin saying “a healthy mind in a healthy body” two bike&hike paths – “Put Borovice“ and “Put Klepca“ are being created.
“Put Borovice“ path is already being used and is very attractive to both cyclists and to those who enjoy the long walks in pristine nature. “Put Klepca“ path is more challenging and most attractive to hikers, and it provides a wonderful view of Šibenik, its surroundings and Velebit on one side and, on clear days, a view of the volcanic island of Jabuka on the other. So far, cyclists can go through the path almost in all of its length, and the part where they cannot is clearly marked.
