Another year in a row, as part of the Zlarin Summer 2013, we’re expecting a very rich concert season which will be opened by an exceptionally talented Ukrainian violinist Tetiana Lutsyk. In her debut on our island, in the church of Mary’s Assumption, young Tetiana will be performing pieces by J.S. Bach and N. Paganini.
She was born on March 7, 1994 in Kolomyia in Ukraine. She studied violin at the Solomiya Krushelnytska School of Music in Lviv. Her instructor was Mariya Futorska. She is currently in her freshman year at the Music Academy in Zagreb and her professor is Orest Shourgot.
She has received awards on numerous national contests, including the third place at the E. Koka international competition in Moldova (2011). She was also the absolute winner of the Young Virtuoso International Competition in Zagreb (2013).
Lutsyk played as a soloist with the Solomiya Krushelnytska School of Music’s chamber orchestra in Poland, Belgium and France.
She has also had successful appearances with the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
The concert will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2013, at 9:00 p.m. in the church of Mary’s Ascension.
