Edin-Karamazov

A soloist concert will be held by Edin Karamazov in the church of Mary’s Assumption on the island of Zlarin, on August 4 (Sunday), at 9:15 p.m.

With his performances during the last decade, Edin Karamazov has proved to be one of the most exciting and charismatic guitar and lute players in the world. As an interpreter of the master technique playing on numerous string instruments from different cultures and eras, Karamazov has performed as a soloist at the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall in London, Salle Pleyel in Paris, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Orchard Hall in Tokyo as on all important world festivals.
This season Karamazov will visit Australia, Europe and South America. He also intends to record a few CD-s on the island of Zlarin with other great musicians such as the violinist Stefan Milenković and the cellist Boris Andrianov.

The admission is free of charge, and the voluntary contributions are meant for the restoration of the church organ.

Free transportation by ship to Zlarin is organized from the Krke Wharf on August 4, 2013, at 8 p.m., and so is the trip back after the concert.
